Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification Indian Army TGC-143 Recruitment 2025

  • Must have passed an Engineering degree (BE/BTech/BArch) in one of the notified streams OR be in the final year of engineering.
  • Final-year students whose final exams are scheduled after 01 July 2026 are not eligible.
  • Final-year candidates must submit proof of passing by 01 July 2026 (all semesters’ marksheets + final degree).
  • Variation in the naming of stream between degree parchment and online application will lead to cancellation.
  • Must produce degree / provisional degree certificate and all semester marksheets at SSB.

Age Limit & Nationality

  • Age: 20 to 27 years as on 01 July 2026. (Born between 01 July 1999 and 30 June 2006 inclusive)
  • Nationality:
     1. Citizen of India, OR
     2. Subject of Nepal, OR
     3. Person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, Vietnam, etc., intending to settle in India (must submit certificate of eligibility issued by Govt of India).
  • For Gorkha subjects of Nepal, no certificate of eligibility required.

Physical & Fitness Standards (for SSB / Training)

Candidates must meet minimum physical standards (run, push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, lunges, squats, swimming basics) as per notification.

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting: Applications will be screened and shortlisted by Integrated Headquarters MoD (Army) based on academic cut-offs in respective engineering streams.
  2. Centre Allotment & SSB Date Selection: Shortlisted candidates will be allotted a Selection Centre, and allowed to pick SSB date (first-come basis).
  3. SSB Interview / Assessment: Conducted over 5 days at centers (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Jalandhar). Two-stage interview tests (Stage-1, Stage-2).
  4. Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by SSB will undergo medical tests as per Army standards.
  5. Final Merit List & Joining: Based on SSB scores and eligibility, a merit list is prepared. Selected candidates issued joining instructions for Pre-Commission Training at IMA.

Note: Shortlisted candidates not within allotted vacancies may be offered to SSC (Tech) course, subject to eligibility and vacancy availability.

  6. Preview all entries, correct if needed, then Submit
  7. Take two printouts of the submitted application (with Roll No) for future reference
  8. No need to send hard copy to DG Recruiting — upload is sufficient
