SVU Recruitment 2025: Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), Tirupati, has released the Prospectus for Information and Guidance for hiring Academic Consultants in various SVU Colleges for the academic year 2025–26.

The Academic Consultant Recruitment 2025 aims to engage qualified and experienced professionals for teaching and academic activities across SVU colleges. Appointments will be made on a purely temporary basis and governed by university norms.

The recruitment will be conducted based on merit through an All India Notification and selection by duly constituted committees. Candidates possessing strong academic credentials and research backgrounds are invited to apply for Academic Consultant positions in various disciplines including Engineering and Pharmacy.

SVU Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

For General Disciplines:

• Good Academic Record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at the Master’s level in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
• Candidate must have cleared NET / SLET / SET conducted by UGC, CSIR, or an equivalent body.

Exemption from NET/SLET/SET:
Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC Regulations (2009 / 2016) are exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET.

Additional Ph.D. Conditions for Exemption:

1. Ph.D. awarded in regular mode only.
2. Evaluated by two external examiners.
3. Open viva voce conducted.
4. Two research papers published (at least one in refereed journal).
5. Two papers presented in UGC/ICSSR/CSIR-funded conferences/seminars.
6. Certification by the Registrar/Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University.

Ph.D. degrees obtained under distance mode are not permitted.

Relaxations:

• 5% relaxation in marks at Bachelor’s and Master’s level for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/PWD candidates.
• 5% relaxation (from 55% to 50%) for Ph.D. holders who obtained their Master’s degree before 19 September 1991.

Discipline-wise Minimum Qualifications

1) Engineering Discipline

Essential Qualification:

• First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering or Technology.

Desirable:

• Teaching, research, industrial, and/or professional experience in reputed organizations.
• Papers presented at conferences and/or published in refereed journals.

2) Pharmacy Discipline

Essential Qualification:

• Basic degree in Pharmacy.
• Registration as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
• First Class Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of specialization.

Desirable:

• Teaching, research, industrial, or professional experience in a reputed institution.
• Papers presented at conferences and/or published in refereed journals.

• The Rule of Reservation will be applied on an overall basis, covering the total intake of Academic Consultants across all departments.
