A total of 32,438 vacancies are available under Level 1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix across various railway zones.

Age Limit (as of 01.01.2025):

• General: 18 – 36 years (with 3 years one-time age relaxation due to COVID-19)
• OBC: 18 – 39 years (Relaxation: +3 years)
• SC/ST: 18 – 41 years (Relaxation: +5 years)
• Ex-Servicemen & PwBD Categories: As per government norms.

• Initial Pay: ₹18,000/- (As per Level 1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix)
• Additional allowances & perks are as per railway norms.

RRB Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification (as on 22.02.2025)

• Minimum Qualification: 10th Pass OR ITI OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC)
• Candidates awaiting final exam results are NOT eligible.
• Engineering Diplomas/Degrees are NOT accepted in place of ITI unless specified.

Medical Fitness

• Candidates must meet the prescribed medical standards for their chosen post.
• Lasik surgery candidates are not eligible for the A-2 & A-3 medical categories.

RRB Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

The selection process includes the following stages:

Stage-1: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

• Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark deduction for each wrong answer.
• Normalization of Marks for multi-session exams.

Stage-2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

• Shortlisting at 3 times the number of vacancies based on CBT performance.

Stage-3: Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination

• Candidates clearing PET will undergo document verification and medical tests.

• Final selection is purely based on merit and medical fitness.
