RRB Recruitment 2025 Vacancy Details

The number of vacancies varies for different posts and railway zones. Candidates can check the Vacancy Table in the official notification to find available positions in their preferred RRB Notification.

RRB Recruitment 2025 Salary Details

The pay scale for different positions will be as per the 7th Pay Commission guidelines. The salary structure includes basic pay, dearness allowance (DA), house rent allowance (HRA), and other benefits​.

RRB Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for RRB Recruitment 2025 must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

1. Nationality

A candidate must be:

• A citizen of India, or
• A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
• A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling permanently, or
• A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of settling permanently in India.

Candidates falling under categories other than Indian citizens must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India​.

2. Age Limit (as of January 1, 2025)

The required age limits for different posts are:

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 33 years

Age Relaxation

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years (Upper age limit: 36 years)
• SC/ST Candidates: +5 years (Upper age limit: 38 years)
• PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities): +10 years
• Ex-Servicemen: Upper age relaxation as per government norms​.

3. Educational Qualification

• Candidates must possess the required educational qualifications from a recognized university or institution as specified in the vacancy table.
• Those awaiting final exam results are not eligible to apply​.

Common Qualifications for Different Posts

• Technicians & ALP: ITI/Diploma/Degree in a relevant trade
• Junior Engineer (JE): Diploma/Degree in Engineering
• NTPC Posts: 12th Pass or Graduate, depending on the post
• Group D: 10th Pass/ITI/Equivalent

4. Medical Standards

Candidates must meet the required medical fitness standards prescribed for the post they apply for. Visual Acuity Standards are particularly important for railway staff.

• B1 Category: 6/9, 6/12 vision with or without glasses (power not exceeding 4D).
• C1 Category: 6/12, 6/18 vision with or without glasses.
• C2 Category: 6/12, nil vision in one eye allowed​.

Note: Candidates with LASIK surgery may be eligible for Medical Standard B1, subject to conditions​
